In the tub

She loves taking a bath, but getting out of the bath is another story. I often break into a sweat just trying to get her clothes on her.

See her eye? She got that while she was moving the kitchen stools around. Ugh. That must've hurt.

Thank you, Aunt Ann!

Thanks to Ann for all the new necklaces for Catherine. She's been wearing them all the time.

She's even shared a couple with Scout.

This is her and the new chalkboard table Jim made her.

Nice weekend

We had great weather this weekend.

And what would the weekend be without a little dancing. Unfortunately, her favorite necklace broke a little bit after this picture.

1!!!!

We celebrated Catherine's first birthday on Sunday. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.

A new box!

Food!

Catherine with her cousins Grace and Jack.

Jack likes boxes too.

The box

This is the box that Catherine thinks is her chair. She brings her books, magazines newspaper and crossword puzzles over to it to read. We moved the box from the corner so she would at least sit with us.

Ugh

Catherine caught a stomach virus and it has been a long weekend. Nevertheless, here are some cute pictures.

Horses, horses, horses

Ah, a girl after my own heart. Catherine likes this horse that was passed down from Aunt Kim and Unlce Ken. She's working on being able to "ride" the one from Aunt Jen and Uncle Tom, but it's bigger, so right now she just presses the ears for the sounds. -- And happy Sweet 16 to Becca! It looks like you had fun.

It's a little early...

This is probably a better alternative.

It was beautiful to watch fall, but tiring to remove.

9-Month Appointment

Catherine went for her 9-month appointment yesterday. She's 29 1/2 inches long and 22.3 pounds; that puts her in the 95th and 90th percentiles for length and weight. This last month has been just amazing and she understands so much more. While we try to limit the opportunities that we have to tell her 'no' she now completely understands what we're saying and has a little fit if it was something that she really wanted. We try not to laugh, but it really is funny. Two cute stories: (1)The other day when I asked her if she went poop she walked over to her diaper bag as if to get a diaper - we'll work on her proactively letting me know in the future; (2) she's been trying to climb onto/ into everything lately. So last night, she climbed into her wagon and tried to move it herself by rocking her body weight back and forth and when that didn't work, she "called" to Jim and me to push her around. Of course we did.

She also tries to carrying everything with her while she walks around.

She didn't have as much luck with this one.

Happy New Year!

Thanks to Tom and Jen! We had a great time.

Heidi should wear this hat all the time.
Go figure, during the wine tasting Mom and Ann liked the same wine again this year.

Cheers!

Well they didn't win, but Mom made sure all the kids were ready.

Elizabeth turned 11 too.

Just a cute shot.

Merry Christmas!

Isn't this the best Christmas picture?

Dad W practicing with their new camera. That should be a nice shot of Ken's ear.

Catherine got to practice walking too.

Dad doesn't have the heart to tell her that she's a bit out of tune.

All the 06 babies made it to Aunt Mickey's. What a difference a couple of months makes, eh?

Catherine really enjoyed her first Christmas. Thanks to everyone for making it so special.
